General process:

The Saigon International University Journal of Science is published quarterly, featuring regular sections aligned with the journal’s aims and scope. The process for receiving and reviewing manuscripts is conducted through the following steps:

Step 1: The author submits the manuscript to the Editorial Office.

Step 2: The Editorial Secretary conducts a preliminary check. If the manuscript complies with the journal’s aims, scope, and submission guidelines, it will be accepted for further processing. Manuscripts deemed unsuitable will be returned to the author with feedback via email.

Step 3: Once accepted, the Editorial Secretary forwards the manuscript to the Editor-in-Chief (or the Head of the Editorial Board) for an initial evaluation. Based on this preliminary review and the consultation of relevant members of the Editorial Council, the manuscript is assigned to peer reviewers.

Step 4: The Editorial Secretary sends the manuscript to the designated reviewers.

Step 5: Upon receiving the reviewers’ evaluation reports, the Editorial Secretary returns the comments to the author for revision according to the reviewers’ feedback.

Step 6: After receiving the revised manuscript (if accepted for publication), the editorial team performs a final technical and language edit before submitting it to the Editor-in-Chief for approval.

Step 7: The finalized manuscript is sent to the layout and design team for typesetting. Once the page proofs are prepared, the issue is printed in draft form for review and approval by the Head of the Editorial Board and the Editor-in-Chief.

Step 8: After the final proofs are approved, the computer technician converts the files into standard PDF format for printing at the publishing house.

Following the publication of each issue, the Editorial Board holds an internal review meeting to evaluate the process and discuss improvements for future issues.
